Taipei Map

This map was made for Like It Formosa, a startup team which provides interesting tourist service like walking tour, showing foreign travelers the real life and history of Taipei. They also hope those who don't understand Chinese could travel easily in Taipei, so they published this map with useful tourist info and recommended spots.

為了讓來自各地但不懂中文的旅客，能夠在台北輕鬆的旅遊，Like It Formosa (來去福爾摩沙)團隊出版了這份地圖，提供國外旅客所需的資訊以及推薦的景點。Like It Formosa 致力於提供更有趣的旅遊服務，讓在台北及台灣的旅人留下無可取代的旅遊經驗。其中主打服務之一為walking tour (旅遊導覽)，藉由在地導覽人員，依據不同主題為旅客詳細介紹在地特色文化。

Strategy

Taipei City

Taipei is a modern city but it also remains some age-old features like alleys surrounded by small, old-fashioned building which is an unseen scene for most tourists. This became the visual motif of the map because we want to reaveal the unseen side of this city. All features of the city and information was created in cartoon style and blent into the landscape.

Size

Considering this map has to include massive information but also be easy to carry, the unfolded size was set in 560 x 378mm which is enough to contain all the content; but its folded size is only 80mm in width and 126mm in height which perfectly fit the size of pocket.

台北雖是現代城市，但依舊保留了部分傳統特色，被具時代感的舊式建築包圍的巷弄便是一個對台北的在地印象。以此為視覺發展的中心，畫出關於台北的特色，並將資訊融合在卡通般的地景中。而有趣的呈現方式也同時讓資訊的呈現更鮮明。考量到在旅途中講求方便性，地圖摺疊後的尺寸可輕易地放進口袋方便收納。
